To meet at the Castel du Mont Boisé

Between 2006 and 2020 Philippe and I, Yolanda, welcomed you for your romantic or relaxing stays, for your vacation stays, for your family meals, for your Valentine's Day or New Year's Day, even for your weddings! and it was on each occasion a moment of pleasure shared within the walls of this building where one breathes calm, in this small village of Montboucher sur Jabron with beautiful views and surrounded by the Drôme countryside.

A year ago we announced our decision to stop these activities to turn the page and renovate this building by creating apartments and a small condominium of 11 owners. Many of you encouraged us and some were even interested in buying one of the apartments. After a year, it seems to us that the time has come to update you on the progress of this project.

Today, among the 11 apartments planned: 9 are finished, 2 in progress. Of the 9 finished apartments, 6 have already been sold. There remain 3 apartments still for sale (Lots 5, 8 and 9) plus the 2 apartments which are under construction (Lots 1 and 3). The apartments are very beautiful, renovated with quality products and the rendering impresses with its beautiful volumes and beautiful views: all the electrical and plumbing installation has been renovated, old joinery replaced, white paint and French oak parquet floors. Each apartment is sold in finished condition with fitted bathroom (Geberit wall-hung toilet, ultra-flat shower trays, shower screens and vanity unit from Créazur France). Each apartment also comes with a Créazur France kitchen equipped with ceramic hob, oven and extractor hood brand GLEM.

The Condominium bears the name "Le Castel du Mont Boisé" (this is our nod to the past) and has a plot of 4,370 m2 with a wooded plot and the swimming pool. We have created more parking spaces (2 per apartment of more than 40 m2 (the vast majority) Most apartments will also benefit from a storage room (or cellar)

The estimated condominium charges will be around €15/m2 per year. As for the property tax, to give you an example, for an apartment of 70 m2 it will be between 500 and 600 €/per year.

We are well advanced and hope to finish all the work by the end of June at the latest. It will have been an extremely interesting (and exhausting) one-year project that gives a new face to this castle dating its origins from the 13th century and having undergone a substantial renovation in the 19th century after the Revolution. The Rousselet family will also have contributed to the longevity of the place with a first renovation in 2006 and this second in 2021/2022. Philippe and I are very attached to it and have decided to buy one of the apartments for us: LOT N°2 which happens to be the former kitchen and back kitchen of the Castel overlooking the terrace where those who have come to the Castel often have dined. We live there and closely follow the progress of the work as a good project owner. For this summer, one of the apartments will be put up for seasonal rental (LOT 6, formerly Tour des Lavandins).

Remember that we are ideally located 4 km from Montélimar (a real little town with life all year round: more info):

• 150 km from Lyon and its airport

• 160 km from Marseille, Aix-en-Provence or Montpellier.

• Close to the mountains: 120 km from the first slopes for practicing Sky at Villard de Lans in the Vercors

• Close to the sea: 160 km from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer in the Camargue, and 180 km from Sète.

And we are only 4 km from Montélimar where you can find all the conveniences of a city in Provence with TGVs serving Paris, Lyon or Marseille quickly. From Montboucher, a green cycle path takes us to Montelimar and beyond to the “ViaRhona”. More informations
